Shechen Charity Orphan School
A home and education for the orphans of Tibet

Working staff

The success of the school mainly depends on motivated and qualified staff. Due to difficult economic and living conditions in the area it is difficult to attract qualified and experienced people, even for basic teaching needs in a normal primary school. Therefore special attention will be paid to attract and keep qualified personnel:

Good living conditions, including accommodation, food and health care;

Good atmosphere, friendly and supportive relationships between all involved;

Sufficient number of staff ; too much responsibility leads to exhaustion and decrease in the quality of work;

Opportunities for staff to learn, to further develop their skills. The more experience and knowledge the people have the more they will be able to contribute to the school. Provide staff with the possibility to visit different places and learn from visits to similar institutions;

Financial stimulation; if necessary, higher than average salaries will be paid to qualified staff.

The list of staff required for the first year is included in the budget section.

Volunteers from local community, other parts of China or abroad help with short term projects, assisting teachers, teaching special skills, providing health care, etc.
